Security-Hardened Appliances for Core Network Services Delivery
Infoblox appliances are purpose-built, high-performance hardware devices that form the foundation of Infoblox core network services solutions. Infoblox appliances ship standard with the security-hardened Infoblox NIOS® software and support a variety of Infoblox software packages tailored for specific applications. All models can be deployed individually or in high-availability (HA) pairs for optimal service resiliency.
Software Packages
Infoblox NIOS™ software is delivered in modules to allow customers the flexibility to purchase and deploy only the core network services they need today while allowing them to upgrade to additional services in the future. The modules available today include DNS, DHCP, IPAM, grid, as well as FTP, HTTP, TFTP, NTP, and RADIUS Proxy-among others.
These modules are combined into software packages that bundle the most requested services and features together for simplified evaluation and purchase. When equipped with the NS1® package, Infoblox appliances provide unparalleled management, control, visibility, and service resiliency for standalone DNS, DHCP, and IPAM deployments. For distributed enterprise environments, the NS1 with Grid™ package delivers appliance-based DNS, DHCP, and IPAM combined with Infoblox grid technology for nonstop services and consolidated management and control.
The IPAM WinConnect™ package delivers the power of IP address management in Microsoft environments. Authentication for 802.1X networks is delivered by the Network Services for Authentication package, while simple, manageable, and highly available services for IP telephony are offered by the Network Services for VoIP package. And, the Network Services for Alcatel-Lucent VitalQIP® Software package enables Infoblox appliances to be used as remote DNS and DHCP servers in VitalQIP deployments. The Network Services Suite provide Infoblox's most comprehensive offering of services.
